Clark Hoyt, in this week's public editor column at NYT, says paper missed or underplayed the ACORN revelations (others are not so sure). In any case, the paper has now assigned an editor to monitor "opinion media" (i.e. Fox News, talk radio, blogs) for news breaks below the surface.
