Chris Matthews Denies Staffing Up for Probable 2010 Senate Run

Nate the Great posted that Chris Matthews is hiring staff for a run at the Senate. However:

Chris Matthews flatly denied our report indicating his active hiring for the Pennsylvania Senate seat currently held by Arlen Specter.

"It is absolutely not true," said Matthews, in a statement.

That doesn't mean he's not seriously thinking about it, though.
