The new Newsweek poll seems to suggest that, in 2012, the base will pass on IWRC* "The $150,000 Clotheshorse" Palin:

If John McCain is not elected president, which one of the following three possible candidates would you be most likely to support for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012?

Mitt Romney 35%
Mike Huckabee 26%
Sarah Palin 20%

She's already so scandal-ridden, the butt of so many jokes, and so ill-equipped to run for anything but the hills that she might want to consider starting a new career as a personal shopper for the next female candidate.
