Here's U.S.A. Election Polls' take on a possible Vice President Willard:
Your turn. The choice makes sense for a couple of of played out reasons:
Economy economy economy. With the economy teetering on the bring of a huge downturn, Romney's economic credibility gives the tickets a strong #2.
Michigan. The Rasmussen Reports poll we pointed out today showed McCain was way out in front... Rasmussen Reports has the race Obama 249 to McCain 210. Romney's family name goes a long way in Michigan and could bring that state to the Republican fold come November. That would narrow the race to Obama 232 to McCain 227.
But as I had said in an earlier post... The move to pick Romney would be too formulaic and expected to really give McCain much of a boost beyond Michigan. McCain would need to create waves with his VP pick. I mentioned Jindal and Condi Rice as possibilities... but what about Bill Gates, Mike Bloomberg, etc?..
