What is going on with John McCain's face?

We've wondered about it here, and John has been hot on this for a while. I've worked with elderly people in the past, but I'm no expert, so all I'm going to say is that it is worrying. Above is the slowed down version, below is the original. Via Americablog.

If McCain died before the election, what would happen? Would Palin be running for prez?

This plays to the base who love machismo; Real Men will never stop to ask directions, even if it's how to get offstage.

I guess that answers the question of why Cindy is always arm's length away.

Hasn't he always had an I yam what I yam thing going on, and we're just forced to look at him more now?

He was a little disoriented imho.

Pretty frightening when you think about it - that type of cancer he's had - melanoma - is pretty insidious and his melanoma was so close to his brain.

I have been wondering as well why Cindy is always by his side.

I believe the site for the worst of his melanomas was his left temporal area...something to think about.

I asked that same question on another blog over a week ago, and was told that the person doing the blog didn't know. I do wonder though what would happen.

Let's deal with the jocular crap first: As this election campaign runs on, McMagoo is losing face every day, metaphorically, and now it's showing physically.

Now for the hard-ball: I had convinced myself that McCain's previous health problems were exclusively POW mistreatment and age-related cardio-pulmonary. Now someone is mentioning brain melanoma? And the guy has what I thought was a facial problem still associated with POW mistreatment, a lump of cheek level with his wisdom teeth that had drooped. Trust me, I have high spinal damage from a broken neck and a lot of my face is numb and "clumsy", but it's not cancer. I thought McCain had acquired similar damage. But are you telling me that 48% of votes cast might be for McCain, and no-one has seriously asked what is happening, what is that lump that is now making his eye close?

People reading this excluded, naturally, but you have a load of compatriots who are playing loose and fancy with democracy in your country and the leadership of the free world that you give. I'm not saying that McCain has a suspect growth inside his cheek, I am saying that nobody knows what it is, and nobody, neither from the Obama side nor from the McCain side has come along and asked: "John, what is wrong with your health?" Because something is wrong. From sequels of incarceration, (no problem) to recurrence of a vicious disease, (huge problem), there is somewhere in there an explanation that needs to be demanded, and given.

What on Earth are you waiting for? Do you have problems because it's not PC? It won't be PC to find Palin in the Oval Office and someone she will have had to agree to sitting over the road waiting for her to finally get impeached. Maybe it will be PC: plain catastrophic.

Sorry about the "getting het-up syndrome". Normal court-jester service will be resumed...

my mother had a series of small strokes starting in her mid-70s. by the time she died (at 82) we considered it a good day if she knew what planet she was on.

could explain a lot about mcsame's recent geography difficulties.

Speaking from the human side of things when I watch this I feel so sad. It upsets me when I see elderly people starting to show signs of serious illness. I hope it's not anything serious. He seems to be okay when he speaks.
But if it is something serious there is a more serious issue which is called Sarah Palin.

Legal Alien, everyone has been asking! We want his medical records made public! What the McCain campaign did was allow select reporters to see 1200 pages (8 years only!) for a short period of time (2 hours) with NO electronic devises - no cell phones, no cameras, no nothing.
What we do know is that his melanoma has recurred 4 times and the droopy left eye is due to (I read somewhere, no link) muscles being cut when one of the melanomas was removed. I also heard that the lump was cause by the same. (I'm not a doctor)

Chris: I stand corrected. I got carried away by the fact that the question has been dropped since McMagoo stonewalled the first attempts to get an aswer.

It's a question that must be posed until it gets a full reply, that's in everybody's interest, even McMagoo's. the whole deal ade me too subjective. When all the mistreatment my body has taken caught up with me, I was ordered to retire. I was only 49 at the time, not 72, and my work was tough, but nothing related to the Presidency of the US!

Obama should go for a medical, and put the summary of the report on the web-site.

When I woke up this morning my husband asked me if I was still upset about John McCain's health!!! I'm very sensitive - but we need to be realistic here and his medical records MUST be released.
How do we get this to happen?
