Quinnipiac: Obama Pulls Away in Battleground

Almost as good as sex. Via Taegan.

"Boosted by the economic crisis and a strong debate performance," Sen. Barack Obama is over the 50% mark in the key battleground states of Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin, "and for the first time leads or ties Sen. John McCain among white voters in all four states," according to four simultaneous Quinnipiac polls.

Colorado: Obama 52%, McCain 43%

Michigan: Obama 54%, McCain 38%

Minnesota: Obama 51%, McCain 40%

Wisconsin: Obama 54%, McCain 37%

Said pollster Peter Brown: "Sen. Obama's leads in these four battleground states are as large as they have been the entire campaign. Those margins may be insurmountable barring a reversal that has never been seen before in the modern era in which polling monitors public opinion throughout the campaign."

Wow! Yes. We. Can. Time for an early morning happy dance, kids.

BTW do you guys remember many of the pundits saying that this election would pretty much be set in stone by Oct. 15th? Well, that would be tomorrow...

My wife and I often have discussions about her cash-flow. Her only interest is its amount; my concern is the amount and the direction.

Same here. How many of those pundits foresaw a flow in Barack's favour that could be set in stone by tomorrow?

Let's try another one. When will Fox start thinking primarily of their commercial and financial interests and stop pissing off Obama's voters? Before or after McCalamity is consigned to the archives of History, under the heading "Irrelevant"?

RE: Colorado.. The vote might be much closer than we think.. I recently moved a couple of blocks away, so I re-registered using www.voteforchange.com, My application was rejected because they said I did not fill out the id section of the form correctly.. well I did, in fact I included a copy of my driver's license as well.. anyway .. I called as soon as I got the letter they apologized and said I am now registered and my ballot should come in the mail.. I didn't think that this was coincidence, and I am pretty sure now .. after getting a call from Obama's Campaign last night.. they were calling voters that were turned down, to tell them it is not too late to fix the problems.. The woman I spoke to said she had a lot on her list to call.

It sounds to me that many registration applications were denied based on the party affiliation. I have been told that it was an honest mistake .. but I have my doubts.
