GObama!Electoral Map Now Favors Obama
The New York Times looks at the electoral map: "Mr. Obama now has a solid lead in states that account for 189 electoral votes, and he is well positioned in states representing 71 more electoral votes, for a total of 260... based on polls and interviews with officials from both campaigns and outside analysts. It takes 270 electoral votes to win the presidency."
"Mr. McCain has solid leads in states with 160 electoral votes and is well positioned in states with another 40 electoral votes, according to the Times tally, for a total of 200." Just six states representing 78 electoral votes -- Colorado, Florida, Nevada, New Hampshire, Ohio and Virginia -- are tossups."
In his latest electoral projection, the Votemaster has Obama leading McCain, 329 to 194 with 15 votes up for grabs.
Even Karl Rove predicts Obama would win the election if held today.

They're gonna go their best (worst) to knock Obama down, though.

Funny as it is, I don't think it was meant as a humor piece. And it's undated.
Unfortunately this is Rove and the Republican's tactic to fire up their base and step up their attacks.
If the Obama camp were to say that about McCain it would certainly serve to fire up the Obama supporters to do something about it.
That's most likely true, but facts are facts. I like the numbers.
Yup! The numbers mean that Barack can stand steady under the first shots of crap politics from Grumpy and his rottweiler, then put them down efficiently and calmly, bringing more of the undecided voters his way. It would be so easy to panic if the lead were smaller at this point.
Barack can wait for the Ugly Sisters to wear themselves out, and show all their ideas before making what should be his last major move before Polling Day: a cold-blooded, dispassionate, rational trashing of all of McMagoo's last rounds of ammunition.
You're absolutely right Laffy on the facts and the numbers and they certainly do give cause for optimism.
;-)
I guess I'm just really nervous at what October has to offer from this shower.
;-(
Rove is right... Obama will win the presidential election! :)
