Wolf prefaced his announcement with: "No Republican has ever won a presidential election without winning Ohio."

MSNBC just gave the opposite numbers, with Obama trailing... Oh, those polls... They change by the minute. I like Obama ahead much better. D.

I know. I've seen at least 2 on each side. I give up.

Just depends on who's asking the questions... I have to believe that Ohio is close and Obama will prevail as McCain continues to squirm in the wind. D.

Tell me about it. I feel like a cartoon with a big question mark over my head.

Ohio doesn't matter - I mean as far as the electoral votes go. Obama can lose Ohio and still have well over 300 votes. Can lose FL and NC as well as still win by a wide margin. There is no one battleground "must have" state that Obama doesn't already have. I think the media's very disappointed that they can't make one state more important than all the others in this the election.
Dean wanted a 50 state strategy and he pulled it off!

To explain further - not saying that Ohio doesn't matter and we shouldn't celebrate every state where Obama is leading, just that we shouldn't agonize over which polls to believe in this instance...

I believe Nov 4 th ghas 2 scenarios....1 is Obama wins 313 / 225....the other is Obama wins 286 / 252........the first has him winning FLA, the 2nd has him losing FLA....neither of these have him winning OH..........My prediction is we win NM, CO, VA, FLA....we lose NV, MO, OH, NC.....any takers ;-)
