Obama Preempting McCain Attack Ads

BFCE and it's gotten all the Sunday talkers talking about it.

"Branding his opponent as 'erratic in a crisis,' Sen. Barack Obama is preempting plans by Sen. John McCain to portray him as having sinister connections to controversial Chicagoans," according to Politico.

"Obama officials call it political jujitsu -- turning the attacks back on the attacker."

Genius.

This is what I've been waiting for.

Yes, it's a little bit negative, but not overly so and entirely in keeping with his focus on the issues.

It is genius.

I wish I was half as smart as the Obama and his team. :)

Very very good. And I like the last part when he says the American people can't turn the page like he's trying to do. Makes a personal attack on Obama actually a personal slight to Americans.

I do not know if it has been done but I would love to see some Obama advertising with the word ”flatline” in it. Obviously not talking about McCain personal well being, but about his policy or even his poll numbers or pull out form states like MI should be perceived.

I think that the fact that McCain was one of the Keating five is a much worse relationship/political/financial and ethical choice than any Obama has made. Why hasn't anybody on the Obama campaing made this an issue?
