Graph- National Polls Since May 1

I thought this was fascinating. Only for one period was McCain ahead of Obama, right after the RNC. But why, oh why can't Obama seal the deal?

He sure seemed to seal the deal in the primaries, right...? Back when they were throwing the same criticisms at him.

I don't know -- seems like Obama is doing a pretty good job of sealing things!

Maybe the deal isn't sealed, but positions in the polls seem to be firming up. Not counting the near definite states and the very likely indeed ones, McMagoo has only one or two more states he can realistically keep red, so there's only about 10, (not sure, I think that's too many), states just about neutral to fight for. They could all go either one way or the other without altering the outcome. Barack is looking like getting more than 300 EVs, without including any of those "just about equal" states.

The rest will soon be history, as long as no-one goes complacent abou voting. Except the Republicans, who will all go for polling day picnics rather than run the gauntlet of happy Obama supporters. They will be half way through singing "He's got the whole world in his hands" before they realise who they are singing about.

They didn't get it, they don't get it and they won't get it.

How could the deal be sealed BEFORE November 4?
