Hmm, in McCain's equivalency world there must be dozens of authorized Democratic sites leveling similar accusations at him, right? Anyone ever hear of any, because I know I haven't. Dumbasses can't even disavow it convincingly.
Sacramento County Republican leaders Tuesday took down offensive material on their official party Web site that sought to link Sen. Barack Obama to Osama bin Laden and encouraged people to "Waterboard Barack Obama" – material that offended even state GOP leaders.
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who has pushed the party to try to broaden its appeal, took issue with the site. "In the governor's view, it's completely and totally inappropriate," said Julie Soderlund, a Schwarzenegger spokeswoman.
Hector Barajas, a California Republican Party spokesman, said Democrats have been playing the race card, but that the local party went too far in this instance.

Um. Wow. Really? I mean, really?
I remain unsurprised. When it comes to racial slashes I expect it out of the GOP. Some of the new blood may have moved away from the crap that defined the Republican party in the modern era, but not nearly enough. They *love* providing ample examples like this one. Half a step forward, forty years back.
Any wonder they are losing by huge numbers?
By building their party on fear and hate they have destroyed their party.
So - this is what represents a McCain presidency huh? Wonderful. 20 more days and I can't take it anymore. The depth of the hatred is just awful.
If McCain wins - Hate wins. We can't let this happen.
To my Jewish friends out there. Don't be afraid of the schvartzer - be very afraid of this McCain/Palin duo. Look at the hate - the KKK sympathizers. You know they hate us just as much as they hate blacks.
So many signs point to Hitler-like comparisons. Remember – NEVER AGAIN. We cannot take such a chance.
These ReThugs are pigs. I am sorry to say that they are the new kkk.
I hope their are still some good Republicans out there. However, the majority Republicans out there are thugs, racist and the New KKK..... Yeah I said it!
Sacramentorepublicans.org should be ashamed of themselves! Racism, fear tactics and a tacit endorsement of torture all in one display -- and on an OFFICIAL GOP website!
They might as well have nominated David Duke.
Easy, folks. The GOP under Bush and now McCain are obviously capable of hateful actions. But anyone who is offended by hatred has to try to react with something better than hatred. Sarcasm and name calling ("new KKK", etc.)just perpetuate the cycle. It just makes things worse.
Use your vote, write letters to the papers, to your Congressman, campaign for the Democrats, be a loving person, dialogue about solutions, fight hard for truth if you must ... These are the tools that will make the difference in the long run.
I am a (white) retired U.S. Air Force Colonel and ex-Prof of Intl Relations. I have had the honor to serve my country in these two capacities in almost all the world. Hence, I have witnessed countless elections in countless countries and never, ever have I experienced the despicable, vicious, ugly words hurled against Obama at campaign rallies and by talk show hosts and callers. I am ashamed and disgraced that we as a nation have sunk so low.
"Sarcasm and name calling ("new KKK", etc.)just perpetuate the cycle. It just makes things worse. "
That's utter nonsense, a false equivalence.
