I'm not going to do any handstands, but this is pretty good. He breaks the 50% ceiling in leaners, finally. From checking out the RNC line up tonight I seriously doubt if there is going to be any post convention bounce for the R's.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows Barack Obama attracting 48% of the vote while John McCain earns 43%. When "leaners" are included, it’s Obama 51%, McCain 45%. This is the highest level of support enjoyed by Obama at any point in Election 2008

We believe it's HIGHER than that!!
you wouldn't know that if you read the headlines on yahoo... Aghhhh the MSM will do anything to win this election for the republicans! All this talk of S.Palin having executive experience is going to make me scream hear in a minute!
"AN EXERCISE IN FUTILITY"...
No matter what the Republicans do...
No matter what they say!!
No matter how much support the Republicans get from the bias news media...
Forget the "inaccurate" polls...
The Republicans WILL NOT win the election this November!!!
Although they WILL NOT admit this...(and will not) They know, that they HAVE NOT CHANCE!!
American Voters will see to that!!
Ellen, Yahoo! News is supplied almost entirely by the AP, which sadly, is little more than a GOP-front organization these days.
Clancy really? I was so worried they seem to always want to stir the pot. unfortunately I have a yahoo e-mail so that is like the 2nd news I get now that my home page TPC
If he were white, Obama would be another dozen points ahead. Add five for the name Barry O'Hara.
I heard a rumor this AM that McCain doesn't really want the job anymore, now that he's shown to be technically bankrupt, and finding that campaigning is real work. No more weekends off and once a day appearances. I can't blamr him for trying to preserve his health.
So, he picks the little wolf hunter, pushed on him by the lunatic right, figuring she'd torpedo the campaign.
Now, I hear about Vegas odds on when Palin will pull out. This is getting more interesting every day.
I love it that Obama has passed the 50% line. And I am certainly glad he is ahead. But this point spread is only a six pointer. Not much further along that he was.
I for one would like to see you do a handstand...LOL.
I am a proud and very patriotic American, but I just can't get over how damn stupid some Americans are to swallow all of this Palin bullsh*t! If Obama would have picked a Democrat VP nominee of the same level of experience, with a pregnant teenage daughter and a husband on the payroll of Big Oil (BP British Petroleum) he would have been crucified by the 'right' and the MSM.
I have huge leasure time available for reading, and after all I've read I don't find those numbers surprising either way. I would like more, but many people need to see more of Barack's stamina to realise he's not a flash in the pan. That realisation is bound to snow-ball sooner or later. A few more speeches like the one about Gustav would do a world of good. Non-political politics: beyond brilliant!
Again, just from reading all I can, I don't see any way back for McCain, and I would agree with the post that reports he's not going to be working his butt off for much longer. Also we have not yet really got the full measure of Joe Biden as candidate-VP: he has a record of being a bit reckless,(anyway,it's an old reputation), but of being sincere and extremely hard-working. Palin would not touch him, even if she stood on McCain's shoulders. For all the help that would do...
But, folks, eyes on the prize and keep working. The first side that goes openly lazy will lose. At least McCain looks like getting the consolation prize for winning that race.
