Obama camp calls Palin ad claim a 'lie'

About freaking time.

Obama spokesman Bill Burton reacts to McCain's new ad repeating the Bridge to Nowhere claim:

Despite being discredited over and over again by numerous news organizations, the McCain campaign continues to repeat the lie that Sarah Palin stopped the Bridge to Nowhere. John McCain has voted with George Bush 90% of the time and he and Sarah Palin will continue Bush's economic policies, his health care policy, his education policy, his energy policy, and his foreign policy. McCain and Palin will say or do anything to make people believe that they will change something besides the person sitting in the Oval Office.

I feel like the Media is behind all this. They know the REBUBS are lying and will continue to lie and make up stories but will never cover it. Let our next president (Obama) say one thing that may be out of line, they will keep it in the news cycle for weeks. REPBUS=MCSARAH=LIARS

It's too late! The tide is turning. We had our run but without Hillary this thing is lost. Obama's new face appeal is being overtaken by Sarah. So, who does he have by his side? A guy who got 9000 votes for Pres with our own party voting. The lie is that we are suppose to have the attitude of put Party First while McCain is out there saying put Country First. Which one has the wider appeal? We got too over confident with Obama. I'm tired of it all now.

Obama Nation - We need to stay focused! Do not let there B.S. overwhelm you and make you loose your momentum! We are strong like Obama/Biden say & Hillary "Get Up".

We can not afford to quit on our future!!!

The debates will be awesome - We will pull the lies right out of them for all the nation/world to see!!

Obama/Biden for Real Change!!!

I'm getting pissed off with this namby-pamby passive campaign. Where's the fire? the passion? the fighting spirit? This is how you're gonna fight for us? No thank you. I wish Hillary had won--she wouldn't sit back and let the GOP walk all over the truth. I bet a lot of people are gonna have "buyers remorse" when they realize this too-cool dude lets himself be bullied.

No, he won't let himself be bullied! He is sending Hillary out there N.O.W. to fight for him. Had he asked her to be VP how different things would be. It wasn't McCain but Obama who screwed up on their first decision as President elect!!!!!!!!!!

There is something desperately wrong with this campaign...again.

First, after the conventions ended, there is a virtual lack of Democrat/Obama positive coverage by almost all large news organizations (for my part, even NPR has caved!) The campaign either isn't or can't get a message out, to be covered by mass media (note that MSNBC caved to complaints regaring Olbermann and Matthews coverage of the conventions.)

Second, Obama is faltering. The ABC interview on Sunday was lack luster and boring. There were verbage faux paux and recent wishy-wasy responses to abortion and military services. GET your act worked out and speak with a spine!

Third, where is the DNC? Good grief...Palin is LYING! KICK-HER-BUTT! If she wants to play in the big time get on her and McCain. Call them "McPa" (as in Mac-Pay...because the little people will pay, pay, pay for their policies if they get in!)

I am depressed and also disgusted that the leaders of the Democratic party are so impotent, again.

...it's going to be a terrible four (more) years.

Some of my fellow supporters sound weary. I feel ya! No worries, we are gonna tag team these lying McCalenusheys. Im back from my personal campaign break (dont know how Obama does it), and Im not alone. For almost 2yrs we've been consistently growing and swelling like an ocean wave. We powered thru the primary. Soon we will come crashing down on the general election in a wave a CHANGE! Not the liars, but change we can believe in!! Remember? We are the change we've been searching for!!!

Candidates use connective catch phrases like (Clinton) "I feel your pain." (Bush) "I trust the American people." and when a candiate uses a non-connective phrase like (Gore) "I'm my own man." it doesn't work.

McCain's connective phrase is "my friends."

We all need to counter this with the phrase, "John McCain is NOT your friend."

Pass it on!
Thanks!

Melbel,

hold your horses. Did you forget that Hillary's gong ho (no pun intended) attitude turned people off her. While few like you will be thrilled that she would have been banging the frying pan on their heads many would have been put off which wil be bad in the long run. McCain is not getting away with anything. The GOP are going way beyond bounds, they will trip and fall flat on their faces very soon. In the meantime, why don't you help the campaign by donating or canvassing or phonebanking. They can use all that energy of yours.
