NBC Poll: Obama Leads in Florida & Key State Polls

Funny how two weeks ago when McCain was leading on his convention bounce, all the talking heads were predicting doom and gloom for Obama. This week? I'm not hearing the same for McCain, it's almost like there haven't been any polls coming out lately.

A new NBC News/Mason-Dixon poll in Florida finds Sen. Barack Obama leading Sen. John McCain, 47% to 45%.
More melty goodness-
By very large margins, voters in Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin say Sen. Barack Obama, not Sen. John McCain, is the candidate of change, helping lift Obama into the lead in these battleground states, according to four simultaneous Quinnipiac polls of likely voters.

Colorado: Obama 49%, McCain 45%

Michigan: Obama 48%, McCain 44%

Minnesota: Obama 47%, McCain 45%

Wisconsin: Obama 49%, McCain 42%

Lots more here from Kos- 9/23 Daily Kos R2K Tracking Poll: Obama 49, McCain 43

Added extra bonus- some interesting numbers crunching and theorizing on the "nightmare scenario" from the 3 Blue Dudes.

George Will not liking the thought of McCain as president.

"It is arguable that McCain, because of his boiling moralism and bottomless reservoir of certitudes, is not suited to the presidency."

Well, I agree with George Will and I never thought I would say THAT.

Are we awake yet? Did anyone see Bill Clinton on David Letterman last night? What was he trying to accomplish?

I did not see it, but he is everywhere this week. Perhaps his appearances, not his words will remind people, ”Oh yeah, things were a lot better when he was around.”

Anon, I hope you're right. But he didn't come off as being very enthusiastic about Obama..

This is really a problem. He was very unsupportive of Barack, didn't even say his name, kept talking about Hillary and praising McCain. Something is fishy. He seems to want Obama to fail -- but he's trying not to be too obvious because he knows the democratic party won't like it.

He doesnt' really want Obama to succeed. And if he doesn't, Hillary gets a chance in 2012.
