Joeingeneva, I'm going to show some ignorance here...WTF is Norse? I can't be bothered to find out for myself. And is it really just the meaning of the name that's important? How about the fact that the child will have to go through the rest of his/her life with a fucked up name? Hell, just ask Barack Obama about that.
What about the kid named Track? The meaning of that name? You can run on a Track or drive around a Track...What about Willow?

Norse is the language of Vikings. I think it's a dead language.
adrienne, Norse = Scandinavians 500 to 1000 AD. When I hear "Norse" I think of "Vikings".
Same root as Norman (as in The Conquest - from Normandy) and Norway.
It makes me think of Morse Code.

There are five words in Norse meaning strength- afl, kraptr, orka, styrkr, and prek. The Norwegian word for strong is sterk (there is no translation for strength), in Swedish Danish it's kraft, in German it's starke, and in Yiddish ( a Germanic language also descended from old Norse), it's either SCHTARKEIT, GWURE, or KOIECH ( I copied and pasted those, I wasn't about to spell them.)
She can't even get her languages straight. Norse my ass.Not any Scandinavian I know uses Trig for any word I've ever heard, and my family is full of fluent speakers of several Norse languages.

Why is media not going after her crazy church? I have seen video where they say end of times are near and that hundreds of thousands will be migrating to Alaska and that god has chosen Palin help Alaska and the world.
Its clear why Republicans chose Palin. She will appeal to more people than her detractors believe.
