The internals on the R2K poll are very promising. As of today, Obama has roughly the same number of men supporting him as voted for Kerry (45%O - 44%K), but significantly more women (57%O - 51%K).
Not surprising, Obama's support among whites is slightly lower, 39% to Kerry's 41%, but around 10% have yet to make up their minds (or are voting for a third party), so I expect those numbers to be at least equal. It's among minorities that Obama destroys Kerry's performance (and launches in to the lead). He leads McCain 94-3 among African Americans and 68-23 among Latinos. Kerry only managed to get 88& & 53%, respectively.
It really does look as if he has put together a nice coalition of women, African Americans, and Latinos. . . and that's before you even get to those now-famous young voters.
Nice analysis, Clancy.I have learnt something.
