Report: Obama will appear with running mate on Saturday

By GottaLaff

The fever is more fevery than it was only minutes ago:
Sen. Barack Obama's campaign has confirmed that the presumptive Democratic nominee will hold a rally in Springfield, Ill., on Saturday. Sources said he is likely to appear with his yet-to-be named running mate.

Obama announced his candidacy at the statehouse in Springfield 19 months ago. Who will be standing by his side on Saturday, however, remains a mystery.

Welcome to the fevery mystery zone.

Can't see Obama waiting to make his choice on a Saturday.

I think it means he'll make announce choice on Friday, as has been reported.

I hope he picks Gen. Clark or Sebelius (sp?).

I'm guessing he won't. I like them too, but at least Biden is well-versed in foreign relations, and is an effective spokesman, when he's not putting his foot in his mouth.

We won't have to wait too long to know for sure. If this is true, look for it to "leak" on Thursday or Friday (but not during the traditional late-day dump period) so that they can get things set for the Sunday papers and talk shows.

OMG, OMG who could it possibly be?

Where has Hillary been lately? If she's spotted anywhere shopping for a new pantsuit, we'll know it's her for sure...

Obama spoke at the VFW today and hit back at some of the shit McWar spewed yesterday... :)

Chris, I saw a little of that! He kicked ass.

Gotta, if/when there's video of the VFW, could you post it? Perhaps as a special favor to me? I won't get to watch tv much today and would love have some else do the actual work for me . . .

Please?

I support Joe Biden for VP because as a former Clinton supporter, older Catholic woman, I do want to see impeccable foreign policy experince and Joe's is even better than Sen Clinton's. Joe Biden is a regular Joe, as well as a highly articulate and compassionate orator for the oppressed, and very obviously loves his country. That alone can be a tough balance. He knows the globe from Darfur to Iran, from Des Moines to Cincinnati. He will be able to debate toe to toe and show the heavuy emotions that someetimes Sen. Obama must foregoe displaying because this country still has a great number who fear any sign of an "angry black man." Sad to say, but true.
OBAMA+BIDEN is a ticket for powerfully sweeping change

I want to go off topic for a moment. I keep reading comments saying Obama needs to take the gloves off and fight McCain.Well, "my friends" if he does that McCain will beat the crap out of him because you can bet McCain has his gloves ON. No boxer takes his gloves OFF to win a fight. But some of Obama's supporters are adamant that he taks his gloves OFF. WTF? Subliminal b.s.? Ok, humbly going to my corner.

Lucy - more damage is done with bare-knuckled fighting than fighting with gloves on since the gloves cushion the blows.
