Obama Has Special "Indiana Only" Ad

Dammit, I actually saw this last night during the news and didn't put two and two together, but per B Smith, this is completely different than the others and just running in Indiana. I noticed it had real people, but blanked on the rest.

Obama could run that ad in every state and it would be appropriate.

Although it had the Indiana URL at the end, I wonder if he has plans to run it in Ohio, as some of the people were from there.

Dammit, why Indiana? Now it's got me worried about Bayh.

Also, despite all the hand-wringing from the blogs that Obama needs to hit back hard on McCain on the latest foreign policy item of the week, he'd really do much better to hammer away on McCain on economic issues. With swing voters, this is always where Dems do best.

Don't get to exercised if it's Bayh. He'll only be the Vice President, arguably the least important position on the planet. I believe it was Franklin who suggested that they instead refer to the position as "His Superfluous Excellency."

VPs rarely actually ascend to the Presidency. I doubt he could get voted in, and if he gets there through Constitutional means, Bayh being President will probably be the last thing I was worried about.

Paddy, Obama is running targeted ads in several battleground states. In Nevada there is one about Yucca mountain, McCain and nuclear waste. I've seen another one, but I forget. I wouldn't take this to say anything about Bayh.
Clancy, thanks,I feel better now about whoever he picks. The campaign is run so well, I think the pick will be someone who will do well at helping to win. Still have no idea who that will be.

I find Bayh and Kaine to be less than stellar choices, but if it brings Indiana or Virginia to Obama's column, they're worth it.

I'm not certain that Kaine could actually deliver Virginia, but I'm much more confident about Bayh with Indiana.

Indiana has a Republican governor, right? So...if Bayh is chosen for VP, a victory would mean that the replacement Senator would be a Republican - and I don't think that's something that Obama hasn't considered.

I hope Indiana is just the test market. This ad is effective.
