Finally, the Obama team has seen Hillary's speech. David Axelrod is "very excited" about it, per-- if you'll excuse the expression-- Joe Scarborough on MSNBC just now.
He says within the past 12-24 hours, things have drastically improved between the Obama and Hillary camps.
When asked why so much time has been ceded to the Clintons at this convention, Axelrod said, "Wait 'til you see these speeches."
Axelrod's also very confident about the polls, and says the Gallup polls are garbage, and they still have high hopes about winning. Their internal polling still make them feel "very confident that they're going to do well." He went on to say it would be close, but he's feeling good.
Chuck Todd continues, by saying that Hillary is really coming around, and does not want a Republican win. She also, he says, got on board earlier than many have in the past. She doesn't want another 4 years of a Republican president.

I just heard that -- so glad you posted it!
: )
I guess they dried Joe out during the day. . . that's too bad. I was hoping he'd get canned.
His apparent moments of lucidity are keeping him employed. Low, low standards.
When Axlerod or one of the other top Obama people tells us something, I feel like I can trust it. I know they don't tell us everything. It would be stupid to expect them to show all their cards. But I believe they are extremely careful about what they say so that we can believe what they do tell us.
Evers, exactly, which goes back to those long posts that I put up yesterday. They are so disciplined, and are careful to stick to things that won't sink them.
They prepare well.
I hate to say this, but has anyone seen Terry McAuliffe lately? I saw him yesterday on a cable network, and tonight on the BBC World News, and both times I thought he was great. Really rah-rah for Obama.
Yes! Hoarse, but gung ho. Kudos for coming on board.
I heard that Terry was planning on going to Denver just for the two clinton nights but was very vocal about not staying for BO and WTF is that supposed to mean.
I am very happy if David A is happy about the speeches... Amen to that.
Also I am happy about the polling thing... that brings me back to the comment I made yesterday about Michelle telling Gayle King yesterday that a lot of the hoopla about her is in the media. On the ground things are different.
Also if you remember BO was always on the Mark during the primaries about the chances he had in each state. I think they do have a good polling team.
Ellen, I had posted about Terry and a few others leaving early, yes:

see I probably saw it here... my brains are so fried radio TV internet going I don't know where I am getting what...Thanks Laffy don't even know why I go elsewhere when you have it all here.
Oh, no problem, whether you saw it here or somewhere else.
And I'm sure I miss a lot of stuff that other sites grab.
And now with work starting tomorrow, summer vacation's over, and I'll be missing a lot. : (
OMG what shall we do without you?
What will I do without YOU??
I'll be here in the a.m. (my time) till about 11 or so. Then back at about 3 pm.
Sniffle.
Some days I will only be around in the a.m.'s... and very little in the evenings.
I will miss my summer hours immensely. I'd much rather do this than regular work, believe me.
Oh shit. Do you realize that there are days when the discussions I read here are the only things that keep me sane while dealing with The Stupidest Woman in the World? (I am not exaggerating!)
Well - that was a selfish reaction, eh?
Me too, Chris. But they're not stopping. Paddy's here, and I'll just be here less often.
Bummer! Will be looking forward to seeing ya online...:)
I'll be here!
