You knew it was only a matter of time til they ditched the dog whistle and pulled out the megaphone. I can't believe I used to love that man's game show.

I wonder if they are trying to provoke a ressponse.
Stein's an intellectual midget, so it would hardly be worth responding to him. This is demonstrable by his stellar logic in this piece: Bush is a disaster. His economic policies far too often favor the rich. I can say this and not be angry because I am not Black. Obama, however, can't point this out because he is.
Nice Freudian slip there, BTW.
Stein is a small, angry prick.
If the Republican Convention comes off as scheduled it will begin on Labor Day (an insult to organized labor - but that is to be expected from Republicans); it will begin while a hurricane hits the Gulf Coast (and that could change the schedule - and has probably kept President Bush away... we know how he likes to take care of hurricane situations); and it will end with the beginning of the NFL season on TV (and that will probably get a bigger demographic.)
Is this luck, or what?
I take it Dobson is praying for good weather for the week (just like he prayed for rain on Obama's outdoor stadium speech on Thursday)!
Under The LobsterScope
Fox will make this, and so will blogs, "The angry black candidate" statement, however, I noticed the major portion of that one minute clip as bash on Bush for being "overly generous" to the rich, admittedly by Fox.
BTW, Im white, lower middle class, active, and Im pissed off...
So lower the gates to stupidity, Fox is good at it, and so far, this campaign has responded brilliantly to attacks....we will weather this 30 minute storm.
McSame and his sidekick, Tedette Baxter, are supposedly headed to Mississippi and McCain says may give acceptance speech in disaster area.
Talk about your carpetbaggers. This is the definition of a carpetbagger.
Think of all the manpower that has to be diverted from preparing for a huge hurricane in order for them to go to Mississippi today. And more so after a hurricane.
I can even understand making a quick tour afterward. But the grandstanding -- such as Bush did in Jackson Sq. is abdominal.
The RNC is scrambling.
McIck's off to the hurricane zone today (with Cindy Lou & Sarah Lou) - apparently to help people pack up their belongings?? 'Cause otherwise the inconvenience of having to deal with a presidential candidate in the midst of a mass evacuation just wouldn't make sense...
And the idea that he'll do his acceptance speech from the hard hit area is truly repugnant. They can't top Obama at Invesco so they'll go with a backdrop of people whose lives/property have been destroyed?? Good God! Hopefully someone in the GOP will have the sense to veto that exploitive suggestion.
I expected better from Ben Stein. I didn't put those words in his mouth.
What I meant to say was, he really should have known better. Now all I can say is, "that's what he said."
The most recent ClearEyes radio commercial seems to suggest that Ben Stein's had lots of occasion to hide his red-eye lately. Looks like he finally smoked too much of it.
I love racial posts. sic.
Ben Stein has obviously overstayed his welcome (if he ever had one at all.) We all knew and suspected of such yet often gave him the benifit of the doubt because he was perceived so harmless that no one took him seriously. Yet when he tries to villify Barack by deeming him an, "Angry black man" he has crossed the line. His divisive comments are equally offensive to whites as they are to blacks. As a middle-aged black man, I have had the distinct honor to work with peoples of ALL races, creeds and colors and when we campaign we are all a happy, color-blind family who, while we may look different in many ways, we share the same hopes and beliefs and dreams as well as vision and a sense of purpose to change America. To personify Barack as "Angry" is just another republican tactic to try to instill fear into the hearts and minds of either undecided or unsure voters. But Americans are tired to being force-fed the fear and race card. They know America will never continue to be a land only designated for the rich and wealthy, but for all. And in November we all will make our voices heard and elect a President that cares about ALL of America, not only for the priveledged and well-connected few.
